OWNER/HANDLER  -  MALCOLM TYRIE

Sired by NFC FC Watermarks Running Back and her Dam is Watermark’s N Farmers Little Darlin, both American bred dogs. The breeding was arranged by Gareth Tawton and Dr Mary Tatum Dr of Veterinary Science and owner of Watermark Kennels in Texas USA. The Dam was imported into Australia pregnant by Gareth and a prearranged syndicate. A litter of 9 puppies were born, 1 male and 8 females. Emmi was chosen from these 8 by Malcolm and what a choice it turned out to be.

Emmi’s temperament is very good with people and also other dogs, she is very affectionate and laid back at home. The change shows to working dog immediately the dummies come out and she is ready to retrieve.and never seems to run out of desire to retrieve.

Born in September 2014 she began serious trialling at Easter time in Victoria in 2016. She placed over 3 days 2nd, 3rd, & 4th in Restricted. Next was NSW with 2 x 1st’s over two days.

In Queensland’s trials leading up to the State in August 2016 Emmi trialled in Restricted placing 1st x 3 times, 2nd x 3 times, and 3rd x 2 times. At this stage she had won 5 x 1st’s and was then only eligible to compete in All Age. Emmi placed 1st under G. Golle, she also had 5 x 2nd places and 2 x 3rd places during these trials.

On the weekend of 6th & 7th August 2016 Emmi won the Qld State Retrieving Trial Championship at the age of 22 months.

To finish out the year Emmi was 3rd on the Australian Leaderboard of Retrieving, leading by 51 points ahead of other Qld dogs.

Other wins for 2016 were Dog of the Year for the Wide Bay Working Gundog Club and also AA Dog of the Year for the same club.

Following this she was named FRA Qld Dog of the Year, and placed jointly as All Age dog of the year with 90 points.

What a year for this little girl at such a young age, the proof is there for her to do even bigger and better things.

With the partnership of Malcolm and Emmi anything is possible even a second National win for him in the seasons ahead.
