Married 51 years to George H Price. Leaves behind Husband, 4 Children,3 Grand Children, 2 Great Grand Children, 3 Labradors and a Cockatiel called Henry.
Tricia first became involved in the Dog World in 1971 with Metropolitan All Breeds Obedience Club and United Field Trial Association (UFTA) with our first pedigree dog “Sheba”. We then got our first Weimaraner so we joined the Weimaraner Club. Tricia took up positions with all the clubs usually as Secretary or Trial Secretary even being Trial Secretary for the CCCQ State Championship Trials.
On moving to Emerald Central Qld, and having to travel many kilometres to obedience trials and shows she thought Emerald needed a dog club so went about forming one with the help of other dog lovers, under the umbrella of the local Agg Society for Obedience Trials and Shows.
After 3 years in Emerald we returned to Brisbane, Park Ridge. And again got involved with UFTA, the Weimaraner Club and the fledgling Field and Retrieving Association “FRA”. Because we were living in the sticks in those days we thought it would be a good idea to start up an obedience club, so with the help of Tony Meade Jimboomba Dog Obedience Club was born.
When we moved to Tweed Heads on the Gold Coast her main interest became FRA and building a Printing business which meant working long hours and sometimes 7 days a week, over the last few years she became more involved with FRA as it became the only field and retrieving club in South East Queensland.
Trish was the kind of club person who gave her all to any club she was involved with usually as Secretary or Trial Secretary sometimes both at the same time. She always put the affairs any club she was involved with before herself.
She will be sorely missed by all.
